We always make a Christmas cake for Fred's mate to take with him when he goes to his brothers house for Christmas and, today, I have yet again declared that I will never do it again.

It is not his fault, it is mine for having silly ideas about cake decorating. I have just cut out and painted forty odd little Christmas trees to stick on our two cakes. Eight big ones I have painted gold for the corners and God knows how many little ones I have painted silver to put somewhere els on the cakes.

What is wrong with buying a cake I ask myself.

You would not say that if you could see them Ann.

I have never tried using metallic food paint before and I don't think I am going to bother again.

Could it be why I found the trees so fiddly to make?

Surely, Christmas cakes should be made p*shed and eaten p*shed!! :-D

One thing I regret from my divorce, is the ex's aunts Guinness Christmas cakes.
