My 3 year renewal of Licence application form has been returned and I would like to ask a question of someone else also fills a Medical Form in :-(

I did the initial 70-year one last year but as I had C1 and D1 categories had to get a doctor's and optician's certification so probably more complicated than yours if it's only for a car.
Having said that, DVLA "lost" it for five months and only signed it off when I asked them just how long they were going to take.
Also had to update it shortly after to say I'd had a pacemaker fitted but that didn't cause a problem.

Mine is for "eyes" {Glaucoma} too and I have to have Visual Fields done usually.

BrianW - mine is only for a car but I ticked the "No" box for C1 D1 and that is why the form has come back with a red"X" against that question with a letter saying" I had failed to answer that question" :-S

Should I have left it blank-as the answer requires "Yes" or "No"

I cannot remember what I did last time :-(

As you say they do take their time !

I have renewed mine several times .The second time I did to renew I couldn't remember what I did on the first form so I take a photo copy of the returning form each time as a memory prompt for the next one

I can't offer you an advice then, Elizabeth as I haven't yet had to complete a 3 year renewal form. I had to complete one for AMD and although they made me go for a visual field test, everything was ok, so no further issues until I reach 70.

I hope you get it sorted without any issues.

I think it is sorted - saw son yesterday and he could not work out the problem initially but then remembered the Class of vehicle you were allowed to drive was on the back of the photo {mine was still stuck to current licence!!}

Mine seems to be "A" but his also includes C1 & D1 .

I have corrected the "redX" and initialed it plus added a note and taken a copy so hopefully that will be it !!
