what a loss of talent - I was fortunate enough to see both the Red Army and the Red Navy ensembles in St.David's Hall in Cardiff many years ago - wonderful shows with dancers, singers, choirs - fantastic

So very tragic and heartbreaking for everyone affected by the Russian plane crash.

Way back when I was doing O level Russian we went to see the Red Army choir and they were terrific. I even got as far as learning the first verse of the "Volga Boat Song" in Russian such was my admiration.

That said everything has context. These guys were on their way to entertain the Russian troops in Syria. The reaction to the crash in Idlib was to throw a party.

Tragic deaths in any country are a loss for the family and friends of those people, regardless of politics etc, and it's them I feel for, especially close to such an emotional time like Christmas. Also I feel sad that lives are cut short, when the victims were giving pleasure to others through special talents such as singing etc Too many people are taken far too soon
