You should try and read between the lines.

Private ambulances are used by the great the good and the greedy for ensuring fast access to such places as the London Clinic and the King Edward VII hospitals which are are not part of the NHS. The drivers they hire already have relevant experience eg ex police. As far as I can tell collateral damage to plebians as a result of fast cars on the blues and twos is acceptable to the IPCC.

The alternative is relying on, say, the London Ambulance service or keeping fit. Yer pays yer money and yer takes yer choice.

should think that it takes a special make of Cojones, to ignore all the normal highway code rules ,when on blues n twos............
