As long as he's been paying his NI, can he claim the sickness benefit? It probably won't be as much as he'd earn, but might help out.

Having had several days languishing in bed and talking in a weedy voice, he went back to the doctor today and has been signed off for a week.

It is going to make things a bit tight because he is freelance and, if he doesn't work then he doesn't get paid.

We will survive, I may have to sell him to make ends meet but we will survive.

It was a bit debilitating and, although the wheezing kept me awake a bit at night and it made me cough, it never went any lower than my sinuses and is drying up very nicely now.

However, it has now made its way into OH and who spent yesterday in bed, knows he has a chest infection because he is wheezing (!) AND is going to ring the doctor in the morning (if he has still got it!).
