Only in your opinion they are probably not worth spending the money on!
In mine, it was worth it.

With two contactless cards and a bus pass, I can't just put my purse on the reader as I want to be in control of which card to use. I don't want to end up paying on a London bus when I could use my free bus pass.

Also I would rather take out the one card I want in advance and use that than wave my purse around on the crowded underground. In other shops, again I want to use the correct card, so I am more bothered about card clash than cloning.

I did try my new purse on a reader with just one card in it and it did block

The risks of having your card read are very small but opportunists have exploited consumer fears to create an industry that probably doesn't need to exist.

If you feel safer using a protective wallet, then by all means do, but even they are not fully effective and are probably not worth spending money on.

The chances of having your card sniffed by someone in the corner of the tube train with a fancy reader are about as great as winning the lottery.

We have screened slip in sleeves for our one contact less card, we didn't register any others (one risk is enough).

You dont need to carry your driving licence , just show it at a police station if required.
I bought a new purse which is shielded,so my cards are protected. They are easy to find online, search for RFID blocking

I bought one of those metallic card cases - but the pockets were so short that they were able to spill everything out whenever they were opened, all in my bag, the floor, the trolley, wherever!

I did appreciate the advice of not keeping the cards together with your driving licence with all your personal particulars on it, but aren't you meant to have it with you when driving?

The 'This is Money' article appears to be 18 months old.

Yes I'm sure it is technically possible but in practice, given that one in five card payments is contact less, associated fraud is still low compared to other types of financial crime.

.....that's the problem with Contactless Credit Cards - the name gives it away! :-D

An Emergency Services 'pop up shop' were handing out metalicized credit card sized pockets which they think would stop that. We've put them each end of our credit card wallets in the hope they will have the same effect.

You could probably make something similar out of kitchen foil.

Police Interceptors on CH 5 tonight showed how easy it is for someone to scan your Contactless Credit Cards whilst in your wallet.

It's worth watching on Catch-up. It's about halfway through.
