I have just paid for a years subscription expecting full membership and find I have to pay extra to see certificates after I used my 50 credits what a con

Certificates aren't included in any subs Derek, they have to be ordered from the GRO and cost £9.75(?) each.

If you've paid a full subscription which includes being able to view birth, marriage and death records and can't access them you need to take it up with GR support.

50 credits sounds like standard membership c£20.

That allows you to post on the boards & send messages as well as build a tree.

Rather than use or purchase credits to view the GRO index, use https://www.freebmd.org.uk for England & Wales registration details 1837-c1973.

The certificates themselves have to be ordered from http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ @ £9.25.

Other sites do have certain baptism, marriage & burial parish record images. You could always start a thread on the appropriate board and someone with the appropriate sub can check on your behalf.
