I don't have AdBloc, but I haven't seen any ads on GR for at least a couple of years ................ after there were all the complaints about the ads affecting our usage of GR

I Have Adbloc installed free by Firefox. I do get that 'I see you have Adbloc' dialogue box when I access some of the articles in newspapers. I just click it off and it doesn't affect how much I can read. Newspapers don't like you to have Adbloc as they rely on adverts.
I don't know if there are still ads on GR but I have not had any since I installed ADbloc many years back. I have never been asked to pay anything.

I've been scammed !! Was repeatedly seeing ads for Ad Bloc the ad itself becoming a nuisance So I downloaded it. It immediately wanted payment by PayPal.
Showed six prices, I chose the lowest £5 (I had expected it to be free). Like a fool I never paused to think why six different prices. Thought it was to support the running of the programme. Now every time I use another forum a big dialogue box is on the screen saying "I see you're using Ad Blocker etc etc disable to continue to sign in.
Well, that's daft ! I've looked at MS Community, no help, looked at my programmes to disable it, it's not there.
I'm going to have to contact PayPal to see if my accounts been accessed. :-| :-|
