My mother used to say that a butterfly in the house was a sign that a stranger would visit.

Was that a Welsh thinking ?

Gwyn and I have decided it is Dave looking in my window!

Some butterflies can be seen really early provided it's a reasonably mild, sunny day. We had a very pale yellow one fluttering round the garden one sunny day last week so I did a bit of checking and I am fairly certain it was a female brimstone.

It was looking in the window.

That seems early for a butterfly. Was that inside or out?

I remember one year, we had one flying around a bedroom on Christmas Eve.

There has just been a butterfly hanging about the front window. I think it was a red admiral but it was moving all the time so I didn't get a really good look.

I have already seen a couple of huge dumbledollies this year. Those are bumblebees to those who didn't know my nan.
