I had news yesterday of no 10 great grandchild!
My daughters family are very prolific as they all come from her!
There are 9 girls and Only one boy.
Quite different from her as she had 5 boys and one girl.she did lose one of the boys a twin ,in a cot death.
Our little new addition was 8lb 5 oz and called Sophie Grace. It was a home birth and she is the sister of our little miracle Katie who was so very poorly and now coming along nicely...see avatar...
I like the name and Grace was my mothers name so that pleases me!

Congratulations, it is good to see Katie looking so well.

I dont think I will ever see any great grandchildren as both my daughter and I were twenty nine before we had our first child. That child is only just coming up to seven, so if she follows the trend, it will be a very long time before she has a baby of her own

Lovely news Brenda congratulations, a lovely little sister for Katie. Love the name as well (our only granddaughter is called Sophie).

And so pleased to hear that you are not stuck in the Philipines as per this e mail I received from you this morning :-D

"Please I need your urgent help, am currently in manila Philippines for a short vacation and my bank is having some network problem, can't transfer out here and can't access the ATM as planned, have been so stranded and confused. Please can I get 1,500GBP or whatever amount if not all? to enable me to complete my activities here. I will refund your money in few days as soon as I return, I promise. Please let me know immediately."
deleted immediately of course. Unusually the English is not too badly written, they are improving! :-D

Oh Ann,fancy me calling you from the Phillipines.

Actually,we had our first gig of this year.such a lot of preparation, with all the equipment and it was quite a long way to this extra care home, but it seemed to be enjoyed by all..I am shattered now I'm home though, and the news that greeted me about Westminster was so upsetting...what is the world coming to?

Thank you everyone for your good wishes?

Congratulations to you all xx

They have chosen a lovely name.

Like Linda, I doubt that I will live to see any great grandchildren ............. daughter and I were both in our 30s when we had our child, and she was actually 2 years older than I had been when she had him.

He is only 7 ............................

Girls!,,..I never expected my family to increase like this...I was an Only child my Mum was 23 when she had me,I was 23 when I had my first of 2!!!!then I acquired 2 when I remarried.but all this stems from my daughter who started having children every 2 years from the age of 21.
I have 9 grandchildren altogether ,but 5 of those are from her.
You can imagine the difficulty I have with Christmas and birthdays.

Congratulations to your family Brenda, on this lovely news of Sphie Grace's safe arrival, and also the great news about Katie. I bet she will love her new little sister and I am sure you are equally delighted.

I will never live to be a great grandma, I am still waiting to be a 'real' grandma, and my eldest 'step' grandson is only coming up to 9, with enough grandparents and great grandparents already so we aren't close.
