The German courts may prevent the deportation. They have to be satisfied that the men will not come to harm in the countries to which they are being deported.

Denburybob Report 23 Mar 2017 20:23

It was reported in the paper today that Germany is to deport two German born men who are known to be involved in terrorism related activities, but have not been charged. They are to be deported to their parent's country of birth, that is Algeria and Nigeria. If Germany can do it, why can't UK? Our courts constantly thwart the will of Parliament on this.

All front line officers in the London Met are issued with stab vests. However it is not compulsory to wear them in the abscence of immediate danger.

AnninGlos Report 23 Mar 2017 13:14

exactly what I said on another thread Ann. He was so vulnerable, no stab vest and not armed, poor fellow and his poor family.

I do hope there is no backlash against law abiding Muslims

and wondering why on earth those policemen on duty do not wear stab vests and carry guns

Because my two other ones were; one is restored one is removed now.

I never poured scorn on a religion though we all know who we're talking about.

They can be stopped by stopping the brain washing.

Caroline

Caroline Report 23 Mar 2017 11:56

So we're all pretty sure this terrorist will have justified their actions due to their own interpretation of their religion......does this mean I think everyone that follows this religion thinks the same as this terrorist no of course not but they have to do more than just say that, actions speak louder than words. Stop allowing people to preach the other interpretations to young impressional people.

Now I suppose someone will RR me as the guidelines say you can't say negative things about religions. What happened to freedom of speech people nothing in this thought is offensive.

RIP to all of the victims

As it was in a public place the authorities could not cover it up.
I was working in London on 7/7 when the story was put out that a power surge on the underground had blown up three tube trains and a bus.
Anyone outside a mental institution knew that was a load of bo**ocks.
Maybe they were trying to avoid panic but it destroyed one's faith in "Official Announcements".
Was one supposed to look out for power surges rather than being more aware of suspicious activity?
One tube and the bus were quite close to where I worked.

Westminster Attack

22 March 2017

We are shocked and saddened by the incident at Westminster. We condemn this attack and while it is still too early to speculate on the motives, our thoughts and prayers are for the victims and those affected. We pay tribute too to the police and emergency services who handled this with bravery. The Palace of Westminster is the centre of our democracy and we must all ensure that it continues to serve our country and its people with safety and security.

Channel 4 in their unseemly rush to impart unverified information named the wrong man as the attacker.

Kay Burley AKA The Ghoul was dispatched to wield her usual degree of insensitivity after a tragic event.

So called experts were wheeled out on most news channels to speculate.

Can we just please wait for facts when victims have died - they are all that should concern us.

RolloTheRed

RolloTheRed Report 22 Mar 2017 23:43

Terrible.

My father was in the London Met. A thin blue line beteen us and anarchy.
I am sad for all those killed and maimed. My heart goes out to the family of officer Palmer.

So now the terrorists of Al de'esh faced with the demise of their rotten criminal so called caliphate resort in their nadir to murder by acolytes
They are not interested in "British values" one way or the other. They should be then they would understand that any chance of success for their desperate strategy is nil.
I just hope that this attack is not used to knock yet another nail in our personal freedoms.

Caroline

Caroline Report 22 Mar 2017 21:57

I said it might be to do with religion...if someone thought it was a certain one that's not my fault :-S

I also said innocent until proven guilty doesn't always apply as I'd bet money on it being religion......

Watch this get RR now !!

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 22 Mar 2017 21:34

I and many others are thinking just that!!

Caroline

Caroline Report 22 Mar 2017 21:25
