Totally agree with you IGP, but on the other hand there will have been many people listening/watching knowing that their relatives would have been in the area. They would have been desperate to know if they were safe.

For instance, pupils from a Primary School in Herstmonceux, E Sussex were visiting the Houses of Parliament today. As it happens, they were caught in the 'lock down' within Parliament. Although the lines of communication between the accompanying staff and head teacher appear to have been excellent, the local news reporting would have helped to reassure more distance relatives or family friends that they were safe.

Why oh why do we have to listen to speculation from the media and from people who haven't got a clue. BBC and ITV thought it best to suspend regular programs as well

By all means report the incident then shut up and let the authorities do their job.

It was just a matter of time for this to happen. RIP those who have died and hope the injured can be made whole again.

Any incident like this is horrendous and my heart goes out to all those involved, but let's not start speculating at this stage.

I'm not anti any religion but if it turns out to be based on that; and let's be honest it will; then that religion need to totally back any effort to sort this problem out. It won't happen though.

They just hope they can take out some people and cause chaos.

I'm guessing, the driver ran the people on the bridge over then crashed the car jumped out and attacked the police.....but that's guessing looking at the pictures I'm seeing

Aaw I had not heard that they were children, how cruel. I didn't hear what happened to the driver. did they catch him alive? Good on the police for shooting the knifeman. they are not human beings with morals Caroline, they are just thugs. Goodness knows what they hope to achieve though.

AnnCardiff Report 22 Mar 2017 16:20

yes, the children were on the bridge

Caroline

Caroline Report 22 Mar 2017 16:18

I assume that was on the bridge ?

It's stupid that they were attacked just going about their business. That's not being naive ,in a law abiding country morals and ethics are expected.

RIP to this victim

AnnCardiff Report 22 Mar 2017 16:17

suppose it was just a case of "when"

tragic situation, many of the victims were French schoolchildren - well done those policeman for shooting the knife man - no doubt they'll be charged with murder!!
