It was my 80th birthday on wed
Had loads of cards .flowers and tweets then

Last evening we had a family meal in a lovely Italian restaurant and I had more pressies

My daughter had sent me flowers on wed and her main present last evening was unique

She had a leather bound large book made with copies of the front page of newspapers for the 22nd March for each year from 1937

Had a little look at some of it but it will be interesting reading later

The ones during the war years are poignant reading . I was too young to remember the papers but do remember the London bombings ,being evacuated in 1939 and finally returning home in 1946


Lovely evening with lots of hugs and kisses from the grandchildren and grt grandchidren.
Katie aged 8 said happy birthday big nan, wish grandad was here
