Noo Pat. It was C1935 in Malta when she had just gone there to join my Dad her husband of a year. He was stationed at St Angelo with the R Navy. She loved it there.

It's 1949 - she's 19, and that's dad's motorbike.
You can't see, but she's wearing her slippers :-S

I have changed mine too.

1948 Co Donegal. Mum was 18yrs old in this photo and married my dad less than a year later.......


I feel loved today too.

I don't know anyone in my family who went to the seaside in the 1930s so don't have any idea of the beachwear from family photos. It does however look like outfits of the 50s when family photos are abundant. :-D

Just right for the climate in Malta. :-)

Pity it's not in colour to see how pretty it really was.

The young girl who lived next to me in UK (about 10 at the time) was looking through family photos at her grandmother's and later asked her mother why the world was black and white in olden times. :-D :-D :-D
