I wonder if any one can help ?

I've changed my avatar photo a few times in recent weeks showing different photos of my Father and currently one of my wrecked L knee.

I've a few photos of my Mother I'd like to display, but despite using the same method that was successful with Dad's photos, it wont work with Mothers.

The problem is I gave the original photos away but put copies of some on photo bucket.. I transferred them from photo bucket to my photos file and they got transferred from there to MS OneDrive.
They wont transfer from there to GR....yet my Dads would.

Why one and not the other ?
Can anyone help / advise.?

Are you photos in the correct format David? jpegs are ok but I think not for PNG.
Is anything coming up to say why GR can't accept them?

No, there's just a purple banner appears across the top of the page saying wrong format.

In the many years since they were taken these photos have been everywhere.
Now when I want them on avatar .............

I agree with Island that jpegs are the only ones accepted - never tried t o convert the rejects, just tried to find something else - but perhaps someone here knows how to do it?

I did ask if it was in the wrong format and whether anything from GR came up saying why your pic wasn't accepted. Your reply - "No, there's just a purple banner appears across the top of the page saying wrong format"

Was the member who helped you not able to post on the thread as it does look as if 40+ others wanted to know too.

The person who helped David tends not to stray off the Nutlodge thread and may not have seen this one.

So the question was also asked on the Nutlodge thread was it. I know of two other threads where it was asked.

It was asked on GR suggestions
