My niece and her 12yr old son were at the concert last night but, they got out safely.

I'm so glad that I didn't know that they were there.
She has 3 other kids at home

Thank goodness your family are safe, GlasgowLass. No doubt the thousands of people who got out safely are thinking 'what if'.

Dermot Report 23 May 2017 10:39

Let us all express our utter detestation of the awful event in Manchester. As lone innocents in the hall who were killed or injured, they were pitted against the dark hard world armed only with optimism & anticipation of an exciting evening.

Battered, bruised & bewildered, it’s impossible for them to make sense of this type of murderous nonsense.

It’s a pity that some do so much to destroy the pleasantness of the youngsters’ days. The huge threatening of continuing violence hangs heavily over the whole country today.

So tragic.

A teenage girl and an 8 years old child have been named as fatalities.

Their lives cut short.

So many positive offers of hope and humanity were displayed last night too

A terrible, tragic end for those who only wanted an evening of enjoyment, my heart goes out to all those involved. The families who are still seeking their loved ones are especially in my thoughts right now, the not knowing must be awful.

Ay those people who died, rest in peace
