Tory party and their previous allegiances....
Labour party and their previous allegiances....

Assad, Gaddaffi, Saudi Arabia, Saddam Hussein the list is pretty endless, you can fill in the countries and their leaders that have abused human rights, targeted their own people, and yet have been 'welcomed' officially by the party in power at the time.

Ask me the same questions..... what I would have answered 30 or 40 years ago is not necessarily what I believe now. People mature, they learn that there are more shades of grey and that many things can not be just 'black and white.

Most people I spoke to in the 1970s & early 80s had no knowledge of Irish history, nor did they care.

What we need are better answers - not excuses.

Politicians have to take ownership of their past, not deflect direct questions as was the case with Corbyn over the past week. We knew the answer so he appeared a total liar.

People have long memories :-|

Dermot

Dermot Report 2 Jun 2017 15:34

The cause of our political problems are well known - but the solutions lag much too far behind. We foolishly think our elected representatives are in charge of our lives.

Look around. How are they doing? Our country is spinning out of control & appears to be descending into the mire on many fronts.

This isn't going to appear in any respectable or public funded new agency anytime soon is it?
