I feel very sorry for law abiding Muslims - but I do think they need to have louder voices in condemning these cowards

"London Bridge Attack: Muslim Council of Britain Response

Harun Khan, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain has issued the following statement after the terrorist incident in London:

“I am appalled and angered by the terrorist attacks at London Bridge and Borough Market, in my home city. These acts of violence were truly shocking and I condemn them in the strongest terms.

Muslims everywhere are outraged and disgusted at these cowards who once again have destroyed the lives of our fellow Britons. That this should happen in this month of Ramadan, when many Muslims were praying and fasting only goes to show that these people respect neither life nor faith.

My prayers are with the victims and all those affected. I commend the work of our emergency services working hard to keep us safe and cope with the ensuing carnage. As ever we urge everyone to assist the authorities so that these criminals can be apprehended and brought to justice.”

We all know, as in most if not all religions, that the vast majority of followers are nice normal law abiding people. These people are using their faith as an excuse. That said the rest of the faith HAS to step up and tell on anyone they have concerns with. It's no good days later saying "now you mention it they were a little strange theses past few weeks."

"The official account of events so far is full of holes.
The account so far of the Manchester bombing is little better.

The defeat of the IRA became inevitable when the government decided to tell the truth even if the Army, DUP and RUC didn't like it.

Some things never change."

Full of holes or trying to work out the facts before reporting it??

The IRA weren't defeated they were given get out of jail free cards in most cases.

Has there been an 'official' account?
There's a lot of media coverage and supposition by them.
An hour ago, even the Daily Telegraph had a headline 'Everything we know' - which is nowhere near an official account.

Why should the police release what they know to the general public - or even the USA?
Trump managed to name the terrorist in Manchester when he wasn't meant to, which gave anyone associated with the plot a chance to scarper.

I'd rather the police force had a chance to get to the bottom of it - and this may take a time, due to severely depleted numbers, after the previous Home Secretary thought it would be a good idea to 'save money' by getting rid of thousands of experienced police officers.

I wouldn't expect any official account until all investigations have been completed.

Also that snake Corbyn who said he was suspending the election campaign today has just used last night's tragedy to make political capital for himself.

I suppose there's no winning in the election aspect...if you don't campaign you're using it and if you do you're trying to make gains from it.
