Anyone remember the First of the Summer Wine where he played young Norman's father?
He was a master decorator and, as his wife used to boast, "He once decorated a house with twooooo bathrooms!"
So sad, but a good innings.

I'm very sad to hear this news!

OH is really upset, as The Last Of The Summer Wine was his favourite programme.
He's watched every single episode, of every single series, over and over again on the Sky Channels!

He was thrilled when we were able to visit Holmfirth last year, where some of The Last Of The Summer Wine was filmed. We enjoyed scones in Sid's Cafe, and visited Compo's House!

Mr Sallis voiced Wallace to perfection.

No other actor could have matched him.

He earned a whole new generation of fans with the "Wallace and Gromit" tales.

All Wallace and Gromit fans are in mourning because Peter Sallis aged 96 has died. :-( Loved him in Last of the Summer Wine as well - good old Clegg. A good innings.
