Definition of mirror twins

Mirror image twins result when a fertilized egg splits later in the embryonic stage than normal timing, around day 9-12. This type of twinning could exhibit characteristics with reversed asymmetry, such as opposite dominant handedness, dental structure, or even organs (situs inversus).

My Wife is a twin and does not look anything like her Sister.
They are both righthanded.

The 2 sets of twins who were with me at primary school were the same as Robert's wife. They were obviously from 2 separate eggs as opposed to an egg dividing.

OH is a twin no way identical to his brother in looks or in nature. He is right handed and his brother is left handed. My nice and nephew are twins they are both right handed and OH's younger brother and sister again twins one left handed one right handed. There are even more sets in our family and most are opposite handed

Our twins popped in after school yesterday - they are 12 and having end of term exams. They are in separate classes but had an English exam. Had to write an essay on a ghost story. Both wrote about the same thing - a house that came alive. Coincidence or just weird?
