This morning we, as we sometimes do, decided to have a small breakfast in Tesco before doing our shopping. So I had eggs on toast and OH had egg and beans on toast. Starting the second piece of toast it tasted burnt but looked fine, so I removed the egg and turned it over, it was completely charred underneath. This has happened in other places, do they think we can't taste it? I got it changed and the waitress looked at me with surprise, as if I should be glad to eat burnt toast!

They are probably so used to the results from faulty equipment, that they see it as 'normal'.

Maybe, however they don't ever present the toast with the burnt side up do they?

Ann I sometimes have the same problem, although Alun doesn't, I wonder if it is because he only eats white bread, but I only eat brown bread, so maybe they think that as the bread is brown I might not notice that the toast is burnt. lol!! :-D :-D
