Come to think of it, you could add your recipes to the book you are writing about Fred's adventures? I have read books before where recipes are integrated with the story. When you describe Fred's blackberry picking, for example, you could add a blackberry jam recipe or something you made from his collecting.

You know I served the village lunch last month and served up that Limoncello ice-cream I had made?

Well it went down quite well and I had a go at making vodka and lime ice-cream with lime marmalade.

Talking to the pub landlord yesterday after the old biddies meeting, I was telling him about it and promised him some. The village lunch was served in the pub today and we duly took some of my ice-cream.

The landlord and his chef both loved it and it looks like they might put it on their menu.

I am quite proud because I made it all up myself!
