Good point though, Bob..

It wasn't really a serious question, more tongue in cheek. I like the replies, anyway.

Bob both Bruce Forsyth and Larry Grayson had help from a female companion on the shows. They were named as the shows host with no reference to either Anthea Redfern (Bruce's companion) and Isla St Clair (Larry's).

I love Mel and Sue. Sue is brilliant on QI. Mel was wonderful on Taskmaster.

Never really liked the Generation Game much, can't stand Brucie or Larry and loathe Jim Davidson.

I hope their agent negotiated well and there will be no "twirling" of a token man to show us what he's wearing. ;-)

I don't think any of them who are employed by the BBC now get a separate payment for each programme they do (as used to happen). I think they get whatever salary they negotiate and they have to do whatever the Beeb has for them to do - which is why you find all sorts of people doing all sorts of different things these days.

I actually don't mind Mel and Sue, although I prefer Mel when she is working on her own.

Bob, whatever it is - it'll be less than a man (apart from Clive Myrie, who appears to do all the 'not nice' news reading shifts on half the pay) :-D :-D :-D

It is reported that Mel and Sue, (whoever they are) are to be the presenters of the latest Generation Game. This was previously done by a single bloke, quite competently by all accounts. Does this mean that it takes two women to do the job of one man? Is it a job share? Are they getting a salary each, or is the beeb being generous with the license payers' money and paying them both a full time pay packet?
