Have you discovered where your relative is buried and wish to erect a memorial? If so, names & know details of the other occupants would help.

The same applies if it's a general query, looking for relatives of other common grave internees.

Thank you for the information. Being a glass half full person, I'm hoping there would be some interested descendants who would be willing to give a few hours to assist in tidying up the garden of remembrance, or Placing a Plaque or a Rose Bush in memory of their loved one.

Perhaps you could volunteer with FOWPC unless you already have? A local community group or 'pay back' scheme might be willing to help with the ground clearance.

Its difficult to suggest how you can contact descendants without known names. The previous link to the Friends says they were compiling a "Book of Remembrance". The site was last updated in 2015. Perhaps they can help you get your project off the ground? With names and back working to approx YOB, you might find that some of the interred are listed on trees on this site.

We're always happy to help work forward to living relatives, when we have names to start with.

The previous thread on GR had a few posts from people who had relatives buried there. You could try sending them a PM to see if they are still picking up messages from GR. Click on the following links which should a open message box.

Do bear in mind that the last post on the thread was made 11 years ago. Its possible that some of the posters are too ill or infirm to reply, or may have died. Others may have changed their email address but not linked the new one to their GR account.

Thank you for the links. I am a newbie friend as in FOWPC. Currently the "Friends" meet four times a year at WGPC to tidy up. Needless to say the weeds out pace their visit's. The secretary and I are having a weeding day together, should any one be interested in giving some time they would be most welcome to join us - don't forget to bring your kneeling pads !

Thank you, good thinking. I will explore the possibility.
