We're south east of Stansted and most flights going east out of there pass to the north of us.
There's a slight delay on Flightradar so you have to look about 5km in front of the screen track.

If you log onto flightradar24.com you can see where they are coming from and going to.
Just seen one go past that's going from Brussels to Edinburgh doing 405 knots at 30,975 feet.
Then one from Zurich to New York.

An interesting poem and food for thought Les. Thanks for sharing. Good to know that you have an interest in aircraft and can follow them on your laptop too. Stay grounded and have a cuppa.

34c is much too hot for us Pat, enjoy your sunshine and your clear skies.

Les you should see the moon and stars here, far less light pollution.

I lived in Oxfordshire for 16 months near Ewelme at a place called RAF Benson. :-D

Loved pottering around Oxford but went shopping in Wallingford or Reading.

It's 34 C here today and it's 11.15 am. :-D <3

I sat outside one evening
Quietly observing the sky,
Watching the flickering strobes
Of aircraft flying high..
I wonder where they came from,
And where their going to,
As they dance up there amidst the stars,,
Swiftly passing through.
As I look around up there
A question comes to mind.
I wonder what there really is
On the dark side of the moon??

Good morning all...Lovely day here in Oxfordshire...Lots of planes to track on my radio and on the laptop...I love aircraft..Still can't work out why at 86 I have never flown..Perhaps I'm just a scaredy cat... <3 <3 LES..
