I am surprised you didn't get RR'd for that spelling - Queery!

Thank you all - I usually try the "mouse" method and most times it works but every now and again it does not.

I will have a try using Rollo's version (and used by MargaretM too) :-)

I use Rollo's version using ctrl-c and ctrl-v keys. Have always done it that way.

There are a large number if control key combinations available in Windows and Ms Office. Once learned they save a lot of time compared to faffing around with a mouse.

I click on the URL it turns blue and I drag it to where I want it be it email or Genes notice board etc.

Edit no mouse just use the touch pad

I put the cursor on the url, click the left mouse button (it should turn blue) click the right mouse, scroll down to 'copy' click left mouse button, go to where I want to put url,, click right mouse button, down to 'Paste', left mouse - copied & pasted.

Sounds complicated, but you're only using the mouse, instead of faffing around with keys as well :-D :-D

Good genealogy tips, Elizabeth :-D :-D

How to copy n paste a url using Windows all versions and browsers
1 highlight the url in the source browser
2 press ctrl-c keys at the same time
3 shift focus to the target eg Gr reply pane
4 press ctrl-v keys at the same time
5 the url will appear

6 if the url is very long use a url shortener such as Google

Job done

Curious that we posted at the exact same time, Nyx, even though it was an hour after the original post.
