Mr M she's going to where they originate so they will be puddings there. I have been there several times. It's near Chatsworth where we stopped with our caravan. Lovely area.

Went regularly to the Peaks as we were living in north Notts near Sherwood Forest.

Mersey will tell you later that the original Bakewell dessert is called Bakewell Pudding.

The commercial version call them tarts. :-0

Bakewell is a small market town and civil parish in the Derbyshire Dales district of Derbyshire, England, well known for the local confection Bakewell pudding (often mistaken for the Bakewell tart). It is located on the River Wye, about thirteen miles (21 km) southwest of Sheffield.
