No there were 5 people with us at the office as Saturday mornings were working mornings. We all went for lunch then to the bungalow we rented. We sat out in the sun and the guys started to play football with some youngsters. The icecream man came and we had some. We got ready to go out and we all walked to Scotties a steak restaurant were we met more friends and had a meal. \We then went to the disco and left at 2 am. :-D :-D |

It was about rationing of clothes - the wedding dress mum wore may have been from parachute silk or more than 2nd hand maybe from before the war. |

She was pretty. She's quite a bit younger than my mum. My mum married 1947 aged 26. She did have a wedding dress as her friend lent her the one she'd married in a few months earlier. No photos exist, they got lost when they moved into their house. :-( |
