They used to do that in those days. Saved money to take them out. It used to be a wedding present or 21st present to have all the teeth out and false teeth :-S

My mother had all her top teeth taken out because of abscesses apparently- the week before her wedding to my Father at 19 years of age!

She was not smiling in her wedding photos :-D

Priscilla Presley was on a documentary type programme about Elvis the other night.

Now that does look odd! And she's had her lips plumped up!
She was such a beauty. But growing older gracefully is the way to go imo

OH says that I am 60, and he is 60 too (62) :-D

When he makes fun of my age I remind him that no matter how much older I get, he will always be 2 years older than me lol :-D

There have been some pretty woman who end up looking so bizarre it's embarrassing and some deny they've had anything done :-S

PatinCyprus

PatinCyprus Report 15 Aug 2017 20:30

My birthday is 13 days before OH's but he was born the year before I was. His aunt insisted I was older than him because my birthday was first and totally ignored the year's difference. :-0

JemimaFawr Report 15 Aug 2017 20:23

Well, he's pretending to be younger than what he is then Pat!
His teeth age lol :-D

Now I would rather say my age and be thought of as doing ok for my true age.
I don't understand people, especially women, who pretend they are younger than what they actually are :-D

Dermot your adult teeth don't start to form until you are a baby. The deciduous teeth are formed when you are born but the permanent teeth only start forming later and are forming throughout your first years. The first permanent tooth doesn't erupt until aged about 6 and the root is still forming at this point. :-D
