PatinCyprus Report 15 Aug 2017 10:46

Sorry I didn't make last night had a doggie emergency.

Came down (iron in our bedroom) and got myself a drink and sat down. OH said dog was scratching at her face could I have a look. I looked and couldn't see anything. OH wet an old towel to hold on her face to cool her. She went and lay down behind the small table so couldn't see her properly. She then stood up as OH started to go upstairs and her hair on the top of her head had tufts standing up. I told OH and he looked at her and remarked how odd it was. As I looked at her her face started to swell. I looked at her face/tongue/eyes head - when I got to the ears I found small blisters. Phoned vets - only up the road. Told them I thought she was having an allergic reaction - told to bring her in straight away. By the time she was in the surgery she was scratching at all her body, we protected her face by putting her muzzle on. Given injections and the itching abated but swelling took hours to go down. She looked like a Staffie. :-0 She felt sorry for herself so I sat with her all evening with her head on my lap. She's fine now - may have been a bee/wasp sting. Nothing new in her diet/walk or our garden.

By the way she weighs 21 kg.

It's plenty for me, I've had my own muesli for breakfast and that is very filling. I am suposed to have 6 meals a day but I can't eat that amount. I'll have a banana about 4 and eat tonight about 7.30.
