Have you kept a diary?

Hello All

Some great comments here.

Thank you for posting, always appreciated.

My little diary has morphed into an even bigger diary, with appointments filled in, boring things like when housework jobs area done!

Seriously, though, I kept a dairy almost daily from my late teenage years until my mid-twenties.

I was surprised at the detail and the flowery language

Sentimental, but memories of many happy times.

Take gentle care
Best wishes to all
Love Elizabeth, EOS

We discovered, after she died, that MIL had kept a diary for quite a few years. The reading of it wasn't interesting though as it was filled with things mostly like when the sheets were to be changed and ever increasing numbers of doctor's and hospital appointments. It did make me determined to lead a more interesting life though!!!

Nope, never been interested in keeping a diary.

Edit: only a yearly one to record appointments, birthdays and such.

Yes, with a few gaps and omissions, loss and changes of language and focus back to the 60s. It even has quotes from School reports complaining about this and that which I posted up in my carrell. I was alleged to be overly cynical, disrespectful of staff and, worse of all, playing sports to win.

The recent past is a tool of my working life and lives in my phone. I don't revisit dear diary very often though, I know where the bodies are buried. They should stay that way.

Back in the day I used to keep a five year diary, loved looking
back at what was my life then :-)

If you keep a lifetime diary, the chances are that one day your diary will keep you.

Good morning, there's a selection of free MS diaries available among your apps

and Cortona will remind you of appointments :-)

When I was about 12 I had a diary given to me at Christmas. I kept it for about a month but when I read through it I thought it was boring and some time in the February gave up. :-S

:-)

Hi Elizabeth,

I have a diary in 'word' that goes back to 2006, it is not every day just several entries a month, interesting to look back at it, mainly family events, days out, holidays.

Dear All

Hello

Have you ever kept and maintained a diary?

Maybe recording the days of teenage youth?
