Oh Les, sadly no.

I was born to be an old fart musically.

If I sat on the ground I would have great difficulty getting up again. Does your & six pounds include the services of a getter-upper?

Are you allowed to take your own refreshments? The only type of dance I could do would be a waltz - provoded that they have a waltzer for me to sit on, and someone to sit me down and then get me off again.

I wonder if many people will go.

In our parish magazine there is a note from the primary school to say that they are organizing a party for the 140th anniversary of the opening of the school. I was involved in the centenary celebration which was a village history exhibition in the afternoon with tea available.

This event, which I doubt I will attend, is an exhibition about the school and a rock type band playing on the school field, a pay bar and a mobile noodle van you can buy food from.

You pay £6 for your ticket and the article suggests you bring a blanket to sit on ( I am not one of the oldest ex-pupils by a long chalk!).

The best part is that it invites you to come along and dance the night away. The party runs from 7-10pm!
