The dubious deal between May and the DUP is up for judgement on 28 October. Edward Coe, who successfully took on the s50 case, represent the opposition.

Of course the DUP may support May anyway without a £2bn sweetener. Chances are they won't.

Difficult decisions are rarely easy to make.

With disaster staring you in the face difficult decisions are often made quickly. Trouble is they are often wrong.

If the Divisional Court finds for the plaintiffs then May's govt notional control of Brexit will be at an end. Even worse she and some (or all) of her cabinet could be arraigned for misuse of public funds and bribery.

Of course even if two or three divisional judges decided to uphold the law rather than the executive May could appeal to the Supreme Court. Didn't that go well with s50?

Meanwhile Ian Paisley Jnr is alleged to have accepted £100K in bribes in Cyprus. He us a DUP MP. Didn't he do well?

If it's true that shows the calibre of the man!

How dense do you have to be to accept £100k when you would expect to lose your job if it's proven. £100k will not go far in his world. He should have held out for at least a few million. :-D

Rollo, is the slay referring to May, by the way?

my oh is fond of puns despite the bard's condemnation.

Btw May claims to have a govt majority thanks to the DUP support. Only thing is the DUP still sit on the opposition benches and the DUP still draws short money. Just to be clear.

All this Machiavellian playing around with the rules is all very well but think how McDonnell / Corbyn could exploit the precedent.

Slay ride.
