Monopoly rules

Although it is a long time since I last played monopoly I recall it had two packs of options , "community chest" and something else. The cards had options such as "get out if jail free" and "bank error in your favour".

I always believed in bank errors as unplanned disasters but never in the "Monopoly" tradition. Yet today I have received a cheque from Lloyds Bank for £514 "error in your favour".

Amazed.

Knock-out, Rollo! Cash it and spend it ASAP before they suddenly realise they've made a boo boo!

Today, my OH received a cheque from the Taxman for overpayment of tax. We were happily stunned.

I gave him the same advice I've given you, above, yet he ain't done anything with it yet, apart from saying I can have it. Can you believe that?

We recently received a refund cheque from BT, for the princely sum of......64p!

It must have cost more in admin & postage than it was worth. We still can't understand why they didn't just credit the linked bank account.
