Not sure Pat...it was more like a shoulder bag...very rough canvas..I remember seeing it around when I was young and am sure he used it for his lunch things when he worked shifts in the 50,s before joining the Police

That one in the RAF was made of webbing and called a small pack. WRAF didn't have them but OH did.

My Dad was in WW1 :-0

My dad didn't serve but mum did, she was an electrician in the ATS rewiring damaged tanks.

My OH's Dad was in WW2 and he served in North Africa :-)

My dad went to work for a firm in Castle Bromwich in 1938 - he was making parts for Spitfires. :-D
