It's lovely and quiet here today

Just like when I first moved in.
The reason?
The M3 is closed between junctions 9 and 11 - due to a 'police incident' - probably a chemical spillage.
The silence is wonderful :-D :-D

Make the most of it. Unfortunately, it won't last. :-) :-)

I realise that, Andy's mum :-), that's why I'm relishing it!!

I was going to go to Salisbury today, but as my 'driver' lives in the New Forest - that trip's off!! :-(

The A272/A31 that run alongside the motorway are nose to tail - so not making much noise. :-)

Not sure how my eldest is doing though - if she has house visits it could be a long day.
If it's the clinic - probably a lot of cancellations.

At least you get some peace and quiet!

....except him next doors - who insists he has to park right outside his house, as he has a bad leg, and is abusive to anyone else who parks there is bl**dy hammering away on his (illegal) extension - his leg is apparently okay today, (always okay when it suits him) and he's painting it with some foul smelling stuff.
Edit - painting his extension - not his leg!!

He'll be asking to get into my garden to finish it off, soon :-|

But, as I have damaged ribs and went through a hospital procedure yesterday, I shall claim to be too ill to move the plant pots out of his way.
Oh yes, and my washing is on the line!

Glad we are not visiting this weekend then, nightmare when that part of the M3 is closed.

Aw - thought you were going to say that they'd been moved :-0

No Det - just irritating :-(
I've actually counted the number of doors slapped on their way out - it's more than they could possibly have in the house :-|

Still 'irks' me, when 'she' was complaining to someone on the phone, ('private conversation in the garden at 98 decibels) that they never knew whether I was in or not - that would be because I DON'T SLAM DOORS!!!

Caroline Report 24 Sep 2017 00:52

You don't slam doors you don't have private conversations on your phone outside that can be heard miles away and it seems they always talk to deaf people hence they yell......yep sounds like my neighbours...they think anyone that's not like them is spying on them too!! Nope just quietly pruning roses or watering the flowers....

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 24 Sep 2017 22:46

Our neighbour, the one with the lonely, howling, barking Hound of the Baskerville (a springer spaniel) decided this Sunday afternoon to pressure wash his girlfiend's (spelling error very appropriate) car and his Discovery truck (the truck part is never unlidded or used). The noise was awful , just two metres from our front windows. Just what you need on a Sunday afternoon.

He's the most inconsiderate person around, slams the front door when he goes to work at 5.30am

The poor dog only goes in the truck if it needs the vet. It gets two short walks a day, one by his 83 yr old dad, and is bored with being on is own so barks at the slightest thing. Its companion spaniel died a few months ago.

I would love to live somewhere peaceful.
