I think it's switching on the ignition
You can then view the battery dial and then pull the drive lever and move off

Do they have a steering lock or is it just to switch in the ign?
If just a switch can you not access it from underneath the housing and replace it?

Might be worth trying here.

Well Cannock is right by Willenhal, if you can't get a lock/locksmith there - well! :-D

Willenhall was famous for lock making and has a lock museum. I don't know what happens now though, it just seems an ironic situation living so close to where so many locks were made. Some were made in Walsall. I was born and lived in Walsall as a child and we lived next to Walsall Lock and Cart Gear Ltd quite a big factory.

Willenhall junction 10 M6 - Cannock 10 A.

Hope it gets sorted soon Shirley. :-)

It may come to that Bob

The inlaws live in Cannock. We live in Kent but they are traveling down this weekend to pick up the scooter even though I haven't any keys at the mo

Son in law is picking it up from me sat morning as they are staying with them for the weekend at their home near Folkestone

I know my Michael would be pleased that it will help the Mil as we all got /get on well

I may be talking out of turn, here but if all else fails, would it be possible to have a new lock fitted by a repair agent of some sort? it can be done with cars, so why not mobility buggies?

Look on the lock and see if there is a number on it.
If so take the number to a good locksmith.

Have you tried looking for a phone number for them? Alternatively, could try to find other stockists?

Hubby bought a mobility scooter in about 2013

It did come apart but I'm still found the main parts tooo heavy to pick up to put in the car

He bought a smaller one that was easier to handle but that wasn't used much either

I sold, that one last year on eBay making sure it had all its history, keys etc

Now the bigger one is sitting in the garage. It's ok battery flat, but in good nick

Daughters Mil had had two, recent hip replacements and is finding getting around awkward
I have offered the scooter but then realised I don't have keys

Its a Roma Medical Vegas model,

Help I need keys for it
