Probably a question for Rollo, but if anyone else knows???? This keeps running on my PC. I run Windows7 on an HP Pavilion PC. I know WMP share is something to to do with Windows Media centre. Does anyone know how to delete it permanently. I can stop it by going into Task Manager but really don't want it at all as it slows the PC down a lot. I don't even actuall use Windows Media either.

open "Services" from the control panel
double click on "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service"
set it to "Manual"
restart computer

The HP Pavilion never really had the legs for multimedia sharing but ended up with it anyway. The services cannot be deleted.
