Sometimes I wonder what goes on in my OH's head. It is very mysterious, whatever it is.

When I first knew him, I wanted to go and look at some gravestones but he would not come with me because he thought you were not allowed and he might get in trouble (it didn't matter about me!).

A woman I will call Vanessa Wilson has always been a stalwart of the WI and at the centre of the catering, she catered my mother's funeral for me. Now, Vanessa does have a bit of a 'jolly hockey sticks' sort of voice but her brother lives down the other council houses and the other brother, Jim, is a very talented vehicle technician. He is also a lecher but he was extremely helpful to me when I was training, as long as I kept out of the shed where he kept his radar equipment (don't ask) and made sure there was always a vehicle between us!

Now, for reasons best known to himself, my OH had it in his head that she was Lady Vanessa for a long time. I thought he was just joking but,no, he thought that.

We do have a dame in the village, older than me and can still get away with wearing clothes meant for teenagers, Dame Professor actually but it is not Vanessa. This, however, has not stopped my other half from thinking that, if Vanessa is not a Lady, then she must be a Dame.

I have now persuade Vanessa to demonstrate the lack of pots, pans or sausages up her skirt (I still wonder where the real one manages to stow hers) so that there is no possibility of her being a dame.

He thinks rabbits hibernate too.
