When I Iived in Southsea the nearest bus stop to my flat was the Fawcett Inn.
Those 'in the know' (ie like me after my third request for a ticket) pronounced it 'Fossett'.
A nice bus driver informed me of this :-D

Dear All

Hello

I've never heard that expression before!

There was a pub around here, but it had an extremely rude name.

You would not believe the trade it did. The police kept closing it down!

However, property developers purchased the site.

Now a sort of restaurant.

Take gentle care all and be good!
Best wishes
Elizabeth, EOS
