When people ask on the genealogy thread on facebook which site they should join for research. Not one person recommends GR :-) :-) I wonder why???

:-D If anyone asks I do still say this is one of the best places for getting help on the boards ;-)

I have to say I'm rather more biased towards FMP now, because they have added so many records and the newspaper archive, but then Anc' was great for me with London ancestors.

consensus on there is that it depends where you are looking. I don't do a lot of research now but somebody said FMP is not good for up North. (not sure exactly where they meant by that :-)
