Hannah Hauxwell dies aged 91.

	That's just the very word that sprung to my mind Rollo 'grit'. Uncomplaining, a gentle soul who loved her animals and just got on with her simple life, asking for nothing and using what she had around her. After she had moved out I went to see her cottage, which has lovely views, and took a photo of a gate she had made with sticks of wood and different colours of baler twine. Nothing fancy but it did the job! I read her books and enjoyed the progs too, very humbling when we think of what we consider to be poverty and yet she lived within her own means at the cottage without any benefits at that time. A proud and resourceful woman who will continue to remind me of how lucky I am. <3 <3

	Hannah's family are in my Family Tree But they are only distantly related Last I heard she was in a nursing home :-( :-(

	Some of my GF family still raise sheep in Wharfedale. They were big fans of Hannah Hauxwell tho' they thought she overdid it sometimes. I just thought she was infinitely kind true Yorkshire grit right through. a magnificent lady <3
