" For sure" instead of Certain/ly

local radio news traffic announcement presenters that race through their statement and then at the end say something like "If you spot a queue and its safe and legal to do so, call us on xxxxxxxxx "(garbled telephone number) or speak in a up n down sing song voice...and then speak into their chests...

Parents with babies or young children in pushchairs on public transport, who park them in the allotted space then spend ALL the journey on the phone.
No interaction at all.

Other people.

Who are they & where do they come from? What is their purpose in life?

TV/film credits that scroll up so fast that you would need to read at 5,000 words a minute to be able to read them.

People (mainly middle aged/elderly ladies) who throw themselves on top of our trainee assistance dog puppies shouting " I MUST give him/her a cuddle" despite the puppy wearing a brightly coloured jacket saying "In Training. Do Not Distract".

People starting a sentence with so, bad manners of any form, anyone putting on airs and graces and someone never admitting they are wrong :-|

LG I actually remarked on that last night on Pointless when one of the females was asksed what her interests were and she said so ' then proceeded to talk about her interests, the so was totally unnecessary.

LaGooner Report 2 Feb 2018 16:10

I find it extremely annoying Ann oh and just thought of another latest with a member of my family , instead of just saying yeah which is ok he says yeah yeah yeah and I always comment who do you think you are the Beatles :-|

Rambling

Rambling Report 2 Feb 2018 16:12

I have another!

It's people who say "What you want to do is...."

eg

"What you want to do is cut those trees down"

No that is NOT what I want to do, it's what you think I should do :-|

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 2 Feb 2018 18:11

I agree with the "What you want to do is...." people too, Rose. :-(

Added to that, I can't stand condescension, or liars.

Having said that - liars have to have a darned good memory - unfortunately for them, few do :-D

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 2 Feb 2018 21:01

"Having said that!"

"Clearly" when it is only apparently clear to the person making the statement

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 2 Feb 2018 23:44

Don't you like 'having said that', Bob? :-P

I was contrasting what I'd said about liars - they may lie, but have to have a good memory, which few have :-D :-D :-D :-D

I suppose I could have said 'However'. ;-)

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 2 Feb 2018 23:48
