I had an aunt who had no knowledge about her great grandparents it was only when I did a little research into family history that we discovered she had named two of her children the same names , John and Julia. |

Maggie I was born in Redruth and lived in st merryn, although we moved up to Middlesex I still call it home lovely place to grow up. When I went to work in a school at meal time one of the girls we had to look after was called Merryn I asked her where Mum got the name from and of course she said we lived in st merryn made me feel very home sick |

Well Maggie I’m my eyes st merryn is a very joyous place to be. There’s a very well known Druid that lives there Mum and dad lived opposite him and his mother and father, when I took my parter down there in the early 90s he “married us for a year” he lots of famas people visit him including Margaret Thatcher who holidayed in the area |

No Maggie his name is Ed Pyrnn he is on Facebook, he could not read or write “not sure if this still applies” but he’s written two books about growing up and his life in st merryn, he signed that for me but you could tell he found it hard. I knew everyone in the second book. |
