Called in for a coffee with dtr on my way back home and now put lamb steaks in the oven.

This morning we had a full complement for coffee and had to take chairs from another table to sit and have a goss.

But it was the religious belief & practice of the deceased to attend church particularly on similar occasions. It saddened me that some her 'old mates' couldn't be bothered to undertake this simple little task.

Dermot, not everyone needs to show their faces in church to think about others or even pray for them. From early morning today, a dear departed long-standing friend (we met when I was four-and-a-half) has been intermittently in my thoughts on this, her 74th birthday. I shall be ringing her daughter tonight to see how she is as I know her Mum will be in her thoughts all day. <3

Well done Dermot, many people quickly forget.

Just attended a church service to mark the 2nd anniversary of a well-respected colleague's death.

Not too many of her erstwhile 'friends' bothered to show their face. Sad! :-(
