For anyone having the same problem it's been reported on Ancestry FB page, and this is the response there

"this actually appears to be a Facebook issue. We have received multiple reports of our members having difficulty posting on our wall. We have alerted Facebook support to the error and they are currently working on a resolution. We hope this clears things up! "

Maggie, I know they are changing things, FB that is, regarding what you see in newsfeeds so maybe they're just 'messing about' lol

I've still got the 'post a message' box, but I think they're faffing around with it.

A couple of weeks ago, I could only see 3 days worth of posts, then I couldn't scroll anymore. At the end, there was a message telling me to add more friends to see more content!! (No, FB, I'll have as many or as few friends as I like!) :-P

After a couple of days, the message disappeared, and I could scroll right back.

On a couple of the pages where I sometimes post ( FMP and Anc') I'm no longer seeing the "write something" box at the top, though I can still add a comment to existing posts there. Is this just me or is anyone else having the same? :-)
