So sorry Linda. My hubby had several falls and they weren't good.. I hope that you feel a little better each day. Pamper yourself and take it easy for a while. xxx

Thank you hope you recover soon Joan, I got told off by my daughter because I did not tell her till the next day when she phoned me, but I am very independent. I’ve got a lovely black eye but the bruise has not come fully on my knee yet, but it can only get better. Take care every one

Keep fit, do tough exercise and you will be far less likely to have a fall.
I regularly play squash with guys 40 years my junior - and win.
Two days ago not really looking where I was going I stepped off a wall3 feet above the pavement but my legs were strong enough to regain balance as I landed expensiove Cartier specs in one piece :-)

There is nothing inevitable about getting old. Your enemies are the tv remote and Alexa.

If you suffered no broken bones, Linda, your bone density seems to be OK.

Most people think of bone density as they get older but osteoporosis is often said to be a young women's disease so that's the best time to start eating the right food to prevent it.

Rollo is right, any weight bearing exercise is good as also is flexibility of your body - you learn to fall properly with most self-defence courses, for instance.

I stopped playing squash when my young teenage son easily beat me several times but dancing is good for the bones so clear the floor and put on the music! It's not half good for the soul too. :-D :-D
