A number of psychics have popped up over the years, about 15 that I can recall.

Everything from MBM told me where she's buried so dig here X marks the spot to I'm living with a lovely family who look after me so be happy and everything in between.

Then we have the inventors with magic machines who can pinpoint the burial place and remote viewers who claim to be able to do the same.

All filed under *nutters* IMO

David you must watch a lot of American TV to know about the Psychics

It's a wonder one of the TV clairvoyants don't offer a clue. Here, there, dead alive.
There's been a notable silence from them :-S

The child is the victim in all of this as are all who disappear .where do you go to find answers we as individuals have our opinion .but solutions .we may never see an ending to this tragic affair

Where is the question 'what is so special about MBM?'

The correct question is 'what leverage is being exerted?'

Portugeses police didn't call in the British Police it was the McCanns who did that when they got back home.

On a positive & an uplifting story - A woman who was abandoned in Sussex as a baby 80 years ago has, through the magic of modern technology & loads of assistance, recently discovered the identity of her long deceased parents & is now happily involved with her many wider family members in Ireland..

She never gave up!

I think you need to blame the Greek police for not looking for Ben, surely? The British police can only participate if they're invited to.

At least the Portuguese ones were on the job, even though mistakes were made, and they did call in the Brits.

A shame they didn't drain the harbour.

Guin she is just s child like Ben Needham was but the government or Police didn't give the Needham family the time of day or money/never mind search for him.

How can you ask what's so special about Madeleine?

What a horrible attitude.

Blimey, Muffy and I were savaged when we posted our views shortly after she went missing and now it seems acceptable to criticise her parents!

I requested and received info from the Home Office 5 years ago about the funds allocated year on year and there has to be a reason why the McCanns are treated as a special case.

This funding is unprecedented and the intervention and assistance offered will never be witnessed again.

Will there ever be justice for MBM? I doubt it and that makes me both angry and sad.

This is a tragic story of a young child going missing while parents enjoyed an evening out .but why would anyone leave younster.s on their own in a foreign country .& more money being found again to try & find her ..I have never liked her Dad just something about him .as others say what about other missing children from years ago .Someone will say something or slip up but I think it will take a miracle for Maddie ever be found Barbra

Although I also think she’s unlikely to be found alive, there’s a few observations in the linked article which could be interpreted in another way.

1- they may have wanted to stay in the area, hoping Madeleine would be found quickly.
2- when you’re feeling depressed & fearful, exercise can break the ‘helpless’ emotion. Hence the jogging.
3- rightly or wrongly, you may believe that ‘foreign police forces’ aren’t doing as much or as well as your own national police force.

Just a different way of looking at the subsequent events.

Without knowledge I doubt if that much was spent on locating Fred and Rose West's victims.

Interesting article, Sue.

It echoes the views we had as soon as the news first broke, i.e something here just doesn't ring true.

Kate McCann is described as a Doctor, I thought she was a chiropodist.

Both cases are very sad
Can't imagine being a parent whose child goes missing

We all make errors of judgement at times that in retrospect we think shouldn't have done or said that

I,m not giving any thoughts or who did what and why it's just so sad that kiddys went missing

Sadly after all this time I do think they won't be found alive

Dermot

Dermot Report 27 Mar 2018 13:02

'A world of certainty & inner assurance has its advantages but tends to cultivate a superficial glow of self-satisfaction, often leading to a rush judgement of those whose lives are more precarious & less assured. A parent who loses a child never recovers'.
