Today is the 100th anniversary of the forming of the Royal Air Force.

One of my great uncles served in the RAF shortly after it was formed from the Royal Flying Corps. I believe that he transferred from the Army :-)

My dad also served in the RAFVR during WW 2

My father and stepfather served in the RAF and RAFVR during WW2. My stepfather was in the Far East, captured by the Japanese and survived.. My father served in Bomber Command as a Navigator and was killed. Both of them are remembered today.
