OH has taken it away from me. Don't think I will miss it much.

But nothing needs doing and if it did,M is a skilled upholsterer.

He might travel (if he's still working) or you could hire a van, or find someone local.

I have M just down the road, in West Sussex.

Thank you for your interest David, but the likelihood of my taking a sofa to Gateshead is very small, especially since I drive a Smart!

There was nothing wrong after the little computer thing was removed.

If you are seeking someone to repair or re-upholster it for you, a former neighbour of mine was employed in such work Sharron.
Feel certain he will be retired, but seeking occasional work.
His name is Ray Young Gateshead Tyne and Wear

(haven't seen him for years)

You know that little computer thing I have that I am not very interested in? I have used it a bit on our sofa which has two reclining seats and one in the middle but it has been hanging about in my basket I keep on the middle seat,I thought.

That basket has some knitting, a woven shoulder bag I am making, an orange, some sewing and who knows what else in it. It needs a bit of delving to find things in it.

M (eastern Europeans in the electricity sub-station,three wheeler) is a trained upholsterer so I called him in when the reclining part of the sofa would not come out properly.

We had to shift the basket with the stuff around it off the sofa, those books I put on the back of the sofa until later had to be shifted.

Once the sofa had been laid on it's back and the little computer thing taken out of the gubbins, the recliner worked perfectly! The little computer thing still does as well.
